Between Two Topics
In transitioning off the YouVersion team and LifeChurch.tv staff, I’ve found myself in an awkward pause. It feels just like that moment of transition in a conversation with someone you don’t know very well. The conversation must continue, but you don’t know when it will start again or what the topic will be.
Right now I’m in that pause between two topics in a long conversation. The last topic was all YouVersion, all-the-time. The next topic is shaping up to be more diverse and with more players involved, but still exciting and heavy with momentum.
I think I’ll enjoy this pause, timed perfectly with Christmas, and take some time to breath like I haven’t been able to do for a couple years. The new year is going to be me hitting a proverbial treadmill set to high and I’ll be hitting it going full speed. (Yes, I just switched metaphors right at the end to keep things fun.)
